I’m not kidding when I say these are a few of my favourite colours for fall and winter. If you have read any of my previous Steal My Style posts, you will know that I love colour and am definitely not afraid of incorporating it into my wardrobe. My favourite colour is actually red but all three of the colours in the title of this post, teal, burgundy and navy, are close runners-up and on heavy rotation in my fall and winter wardrobe.
The pieces in this post are a mix of old and new. The new being the scarf and the shoes and the old being the shirt/dress, jeans, trench vest and bag. I was getting ready to do a radio interview for Ask Her and needed something fast, nice and comfortable. And this is the outfit I came up with. Even my husband liked it which is a bit of an accomplishment… But I liked it and my opinion is the one that matters the most, right ladies?! I have a word of caution to share though regarding blanket scarves like the one in this post. They can add the appearance of bulk depending on how you wear it. Which isn’t always wanted or good. I often see women wearing blanket scarves and they have them styled in a way that looks totally effortless but also not at all bulky and I wonder how they did it. I need to practice folding them more… If you have any tips on how you style your own blanket scarves, I would love to hear them on the She Stole My Style Facebook page!

I might break this outfit out again today as I have a lunch downtown (anything downtown and out of my home office is refreshing) and I have the Heart and Swirl event at Clothing Bar Boutique tomorrow evening! To say I am excited is an understatement. I met Kelley, the creator of Heart and Swirl, at a painting night and am very much looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow along with the opportunity to try the three wines she is bringing for us to taste as well as the chance to check out Clothing Bar Boutique for the first time and shop with a 50% discount. And no, that’s not a typo! I am pretty sure it is going to result in a blog post with pictures of the wine, the store and the clothes. In the meantime, watch my Instagram for stories and photos from the event tonight!
