Goodbye 2014, Hello 2015

Blogging has been on my mind for a long time. After a lot of false starts I’ve decided that in 2015 I will commit to blogging once a week unless crazy circumstances permit me from doing so.

2014 was a year of challenges (leaving a job and turning down a possibly amazing opportunity), a massive career change (I now teach English to adult language learners), planning a Persian wedding in Vancouver all by myself while living in Calgary (this will be the subject for SEVERAL posts…) and a honeymoon in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. As I sit here remembering everything that did and didn’t happen, it makes me wonder what will be in store for me in the coming year. I already know that we, my handsome husband and I, will be travelling to Iran in May. It will be my first trip to the Middle East and my first time in the country of my husband and his (our) family. It will be an amazing trip. We will also be travelling to Halifax in September for a friends wedding. And, it just so happens that it was my magical match-making that brought the lucky couple together! What else is in store? I’m excited to find out what each day will have in store and I’m looking forward to sharing the awesome, excellent and ordinary here.

All the best for what is left of 2014 and everything that will come in 2015.
